This video is awsome. The person that made this video is very talented.

Love this! I posted a link on my site. Thanks for sharing.

Very fun. It reminded me of a site that has time lapse photos. They look like images of smoke rather than the people actually depicted.

Cool video, but crappy music. While I love NIN, they certainly don't scream Ann Arbor to me.

Did you commission this? UGC from individuals may be one thing, but businesses uploading content in order to get publicity may be another. Might be cool if all that was disclosed.

Not knowing all the facts, I'm at a loss.

But yeah, it's compelling.

This time-lapse video was created by Jay Burlage of Ann Arbor. After he put it up on YouTube, he asked us to consider embedding it on our site. We took a look at it, and thought it was worth sharing. Jay does operate a business, but I would equate this more akin to us linking out to an interesting blog post, knowing that the blogger makes some money on his or her blog.

Hey thanks for the comments all. I created this video purely as a creative endeavor. All the visual content was shot personally. The NIN song is off the 'ghosts' album which was released under creative commons licensing. Trent Reznor championed the 'nin film festival' for visual works to be mated to the tracks on this album. The juxtaposition of the subject and music was deliberate. While on one level the Fairs are a reflection of 'sleepy Ann Arbor' on another level they are an amazing force of people washing over the city. It's a sketch essentially, i was trying to capture the volume of 'human energy'.

Very cool video. It reminds me of thousands of bees buzzing around a hive, which I guess is not far from the truth of what Art Fair can be like.

Loved that. But use music from an A2 band. The Setup comes to mind... sorta nin-ish
